BUYING A DIAMOND: SHAPE
Diamonds are fashioned into a number of shapes, depending on the nature of the rough stone. Diamonds are most often round (also called brilliant). The shapes include marquise, princess, oval, pear, trilliant, emerald, and heart.
Shape is always a matter of personal taste.
